YANGON, Myanmar, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- The international humanitarian group Doctors Without Borders says up to 25,000 may die this year of HIV/AIDS in Myanmar unless help arrives soon.
The group in London says lifesaving treatment needs to be significantly increased to avert a catastrophe in the military-ruled country, formerly known as Burma, CNN reported.
The group's study, blaming the failure of the country's junta for the current situation, said an estimated 240,000 people are thought to have HIV/AIDS in Myanmar.
The report said fewer than 20 percent of them have access to the anti-retroviral or ART drug.
The report said Doctors Without Borders is currently virtually the only provider of these lifesaving drugs.
"It is unacceptable that a single NGO is treating the vast majority of HIV patients in a crisis of this magnitude," Joe Belliveau, the group's operations manager, said in a news release.
The report said the government gave only about $200,000 for HIV/AIDS this year, one of the lowest amounts spent worldwide.
The drugs, without government or other support, typically cost about $29 a month per patient. However, most people in Myanmar live on an average of $1.20 per day.

Chin People Fear For Aung San Suu Kyi's Health

The Chin people are among those who express concerns and fears for the health of pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi, 63, who has been said to refuse food supplies since the middle of August, 2008.

Burma's detained Nobel Peace Laureate, spending 13 of the past 19 years under house arrest, is reported to have lost weight and continue to shun food delivered to her lakeside house in Rangon, former capital city of Burma.

Her lawyer attorney Kyi Win declined to say comments on the speculation that she is on hunger strike, according to sources. "I am well but I have lost some weight. I am a little tired and I need some rest," Kyi Win quoted her as saying during their meeting last Monday.

Aung San Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy party said her actions may reflect her growing frustration with the slow pace of reconciliation talks in the military-controlled country.

UN special envoy Ibrahim Gambari's failure to meet Aung San Suu Kyi and other important figures including Pu Cin Sian Thang, U Thein Pe and Dr. Myint Naing during his last five-day visit to Burma has been branded as 'wasting precious time'.

Pu Cin Sian Thang, chairman of the Zomi National Congress, said after expressing their readiness and expectation of meeting the UN Envoy: "We only knew that Gambari came to Burma and went back."

Aung San Suu Kyi, leader of National League for Democracy, was greeted as 'Kan Pi' meaning our aunty with flowers, traditional dance and music by thousands of the Chin people during her visit to Chin State in April, 2003.

The NLD did not win any contested seat in northern Chin state during the 1990 general elections in Burma. Even though the NLD won more than 80 percent of the seats in 1990 general election in Burma, the Chin national local parties such as Zomi National Congress ZNC, Chin National League for Democracy and independent candidates won all Parliamentary seats in northern Chin state.

ျမန္မာ့လြတ္လပ္ေရးေခါင္းေဆာင္ ဗိုလ္ခ်ဳပ္ေအာင္ဆန္း၏ သမီးျဖစ္သူကို ေတြ႔ဆံုမည့္အစီအစဥ္ကို ပါတီ ထိပ္တန္းေခါင္းေဆာင္မ်ားႏွင့္ သေဘာကြဲထြက္လာသည့္ လူငယ္အခ်ဳိ႕က ဦးစီးေဆာင္ရြက္ခဲ့ၾကသည္ဟု အတိုက္အခံလႈပ္ရွားသူမ်ားက ေျပာသည္။

ထိုင္းႏိုင္ငံ အေျခစိုက္ ျမန္မာ့အေရး ေလ့လာသူ ဦးေအာင္ႏိုင္ဦးက ျမန္မာ့ဓေလ့ျဖစ္ေနေသာ္လည္း စစ္အစိုးရက ခြင့္ျပဳမည့္လမ္းမျမင္ဟု ေျပာသည္။

"အဲဒီလို အေနအထားမ်ဳိးမွာ ခုနက လူငယ္ေတြ လႈပ္ရွားမႈမ်ဳိးကုိ စစ္အစိုးရက ႏုိင္ငံေရး လႈပ္ရွားမႈမ်ဳိးအေနနဲ႔ ယူဆၿပီးေတာ့ ျမင္ၿပီးေတာ့ ခြင့္ျပဳမွာ မဟုတ္သလို တကယ္လို႔ ခြင့္မျပဳတဲ့အတြက္ လူငယ္ေတြက တံု႔ျပန္လာတယ္ဆိုရင္လည္း စစ္အစိုးရက ျပတ္ျပတ္သားသား အေရးယူဖို႔ သေဘာရွိတယ္ က်ေနာ္ အဲဒီလိုပဲ ျမင္တယ္" ဟု ဦးေအာင္ႏုိင္ဦးက ေျပာသည္။

ေမတၱာရပ္ခံသည့္စာထဲတြင္ ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္၏ အိမ္ေရွ႕မွ အရံအတားေတြကုိ ဖယ္ရွားေပးကာ ၿခံ၀န္းအတြင္းမွ အမိႈက္သရိုက္မ်ားကုိ စည္ပင္သာယာက ရွင္းထားေပးျခင္းအေပၚ ၀မ္းသာလ်က္ရွိေၾကာင္း ပါရွိသည္ဟု မဇၩိမက စံုစမ္းသိရွိရသည္။

အမ်ဳိးသား ဒီမိုကေရစီအဖြဲ႕ခ်ဳပ္၀င္ အမ်ားစုပါ၀င္ေသာ လူငယ္ ၅၀ ခန္႔က စစ္အစိုးရေခါင္းေဆာင္ ဗိုလ္ခ်ဳပ္မွဴးၾကီး သန္းေရႊထံ ယမန္ေန႔က စာတိုက္မွတဆင့္ ေပးပို႔ေသာစာတြင္ ျမန္မာလူမ်ဳိးတို႔၏ ဓေလ့ထံုးစံအတုိင္း အသက္ ၆၃ ႏွစ္အရြယ္ အတိုက္အခံေခါင္းေဆာင္ကို ဂါရ၀ျပဳခြင့္ရေရး ခြင့္ျပဳပါရန္ ေမတၱာရပ္ခံထားသည္။

အမ်ဳိးသား ဒီမိုကေရစီအဖြဲ႕ခ်ဳပ္ ဒဂံုၿမိဳ႕သစ္ ၿမိဳ႕နယ္စည္းအဖြဲ႕၀င္ ဦးေအးသြင္က "ဥပေဒ ေဘာင္အတြင္းက ေနၿပီးေတာ့ ၿငိမ္းခ်မ္းစြာ အခုလို ဂါရ၀တရားနဲ႔ ျမန္မာလူမ်ဳိးတို႔ရဲ႕ ဓေလ့ထံုစံအတိုင္း ျပဳမႈ ေဆာင္ရြက္ခ်က္ကုိ တဖက္ နအဖ က ေနၿပီးေတာ့ ခြင့္ျပဳလိမ့္မယ္လို႔ သူတို႔က ယံုၾကည္ၿပီးေတာ့ အခုလို ျပဳလုပ္လိုက္တာပါ'' ဟု မဇၩိမကုိ ေျပာသည္။

အရွင္ဂမၻီရ မိသားစုႏွင့္ နီးစပ္သူတဦးက “ေလာေလာဆယ္ ၁၂ ႏွစ္ခ်ထားတယ္၊ အခုခ်ထားတဲ့ ပုဒ္မေတြက ၅၀၅ (ခ)၊ ၂၉၅ (က) ၂ႏွစ္စီ သံုးေနရာကစြဲတယ္၊ အားလံုးေပါင္း ၁၂ႏွစ္ခ်ထားတယ္။ အရွင္ဂမၻီရ အပါအဝင္ ၁၁ ဦးကိုဖမ္းဆီးထားၿပီး စြဲထားတဲ့အမႈေပါင္းကေတာ့ မနည္းဘူး။ ေနာက္ရက္ေတြ ဆက္ၿပီး အမိန္႔ခ်ဖို႔ ရွိတယ္” ဟု ေျပာသည္။
အသက္၂၉ ႏွစ္ရွိ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံလံုးဆိုင္ရာ သံဃာ့တပ္ေပါင္းစု၏ ဦးေဆာင္ကိုယ္ေတာ္တပါးျဖစ္သည့္ အရွင္ဂမၻီရအား စစ္အစိုးရက ဖမ္းဆီးထားၿပီးတႏွစ္အၾကာတြင္ ေထာင္ဒဏ္ခ်မွတ္လိုက္ျခင္း ျဖစ္သည္။
အရွင္ဂမၻီရကိုလြန္ခဲ့သည့္ႏွစ္ စက္တင္ဘာလကေပၚေပါက္ခဲ့ေသာ ေရႊဝါေရာင္ေတာ္လွန္ေရးႏွင့္ပတ္သက္ၿပီး ၂၀၀၇ ခုႏွစ္ ႏိုဝင္ဘာလ ၄ ရက္ေန႔တြင္ မႏၱေလးတိုင္း စဥ့္ကိုင္ၿမိဳ႕၌ စစ္အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားက ဖမ္းဆီးခဲ့ျခင္း ျဖစ္သည္။
ထို႔အတူ မႏၱေလးတိုင္း သံဃာ့တပ္ေပါင္းစုမွ အရွင္ဦးေကလာသ ကိုလည္း ပုဒ္မ ၁၇ (၂၀) ၊ ၁၇ (၁) ၊ မတရားအသင္းပုဒ္မ တုိ႔ျဖင့္ ေထာင္ဒဏ္ ၃၅ ႏွစ္ ယေန႔ခ်မွတ္လိုက္ေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။
အရွင္ဂမၻီရကို တရားမဝင္အဖြဲ႔အစည္းႏွင့္ဆက္သြယ္မႈ၊ အီလက္ထရြန္းနစ္ပုဒ္မ၊ အမ်ားျပည္သူ အထိတ္တလန္႔ျဖစ္ေစမႈ၊ သာသာနာညႇိဳးႏြမ္းေစမႈ ၊ အေရးေပၚ စီမံခ်က္အက္ဥပေဒပုဒ္မ ၅ (ည)၊ မတရားအသင္းပုဒ္မ ၊ တရားမဝင္နယ္စပ္ျဖတ္ေက်ာ္သည့္ပုဒ္မ၊ ႏိုင္ငံေတာ္ၿငိမ္ဝပ္ပိျပားမႈကို ထိခိုက္ပ်က္ျပားေစမႈ၊ လူငါးဦးထက္ပိုမိုစုေဝးမႈ၊ တရားမဝင္ပံုႏွိပ္ထုတ္ေဝမႈစသည့္ ဥပေဒပုဒ္မမ်ားျဖင့္ တရားစြဲဆိုထားေၾကာင္း ၎အမႈလိုက္ေရွ႕ ေနကေျပာသည္။
အလားတူ လႈပ္ရွားတက္ႂကြသူ တိုင္းရင္းသားလူငယ္သံုးဦးကိုလည္း ရန္ကုန္အင္းစိန္ေထာင္ အထူးတရားရုံးက ႏွစ္ရွည္ေထာင္ဒဏ္ ခ်မွတ္လိုက္ေၾကာင္း အင္းစိန္ေထာင္ ဝန္ထမ္းအသိုင္းအဝန္းႏွင့္ နီးစပ္သူတဦးက ေျပာသည္။
ခ်င္းတိုင္းရင္းသား ကပ္လွမ္ခုတ္ (ခ) ကိုေက်ာ္စိုးႏွင့္ ရခိုင္တုိင္းရင္းသား ကိုတင္ထူးေအာင္တုိ႔ကို တိုင္းရင္းသားလူငယ္မ်ားအား စည္း႐ုံးလႈပ္ရွားမႈျဖင့္ ေထာင္ဒဏ္ ၃၃ ႏွစ္စီ ခ်မွတ္လိုက္ေၾကာင္း အဆိုပ္နီးစပ္သူက ေျပာသည္။
ခ်င္းတိုင္းရင္းသား အန္ေထာ္နီ (ခ) ကက္ခြမ္ကြာကိုလည္း ေထာင္ဒဏ္ ၈ ႏွစ္ခ်မွတ္လိုက္သည္ဟု အဆိုပါ နီးစပ္သူကဆက္ေျပာသည္။
ကပ္လွမ္ခုတ္သည့္ တိုင္းရင္သားေခါင္းေဆာင္တဦးျဖစ္သည့္ ဦးက်င္ရွင္းထန္၏ သားျဖစ္ၿပီး အန္ေထာ္နီမွာ တူုျဖစ္သည္။
“သူတို႔ဟာ အမႈေတြဒီေလာက္က်ဴးလြန္ထားတာမဟုတ္ဘဲနဲ႔ အခုလို ႏွစ္ရွည္အမိန္႔ခ်မွတ္တာဟာ တရားမွ်တမႈမရွိပါဘူး” ဟု ဦးက်င္ရွင္းထန္က ဧရာဝတီကို ေျပာသည္။
အဆိုပါတိုင္းရင္းသားလူငယ္ ၃ ဦးကို လြန္ခဲ့သည့္ႏွစ္ စက္တင္ဘာလ သံဃာ့လႈပ္ရွားမႈႏွင့္ပတ္သက္၍ ၂၀၀၇ ခုႏွစ္ ေအာက္တိုဘာလကုန္ပိုင္းကတည္းက အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားက ဖမ္းဆီးခဲ့သည္။

After the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Brigade 1 have raided and seized a base camp of DKBA in Thaton District on November 5 and captured 19 assorted arms, consequent news on disintegration of enemy forces are pouring in.

On November 11, Saw Win Hlaing, Yaung Pyar, Thur Sein Htun and Yan Paing from Battalion 907 under the command of Bo Hnut Khan Hmwe (Commander Mustachio) defected to KNLA Brigade 6 HQ column, bringing with them six assorted weapons and military equipment. These included 3 AK-47 automatic rifles with 4 magazines and 200 rounds, 1 M-16 automatic rifle with 1 magazine and 50 rounds, 1 AK Light Machine Gun with 1 chain, 1 sawed-off shotgun and 1 VH-150 Walkie-talkie.

Also on November 11, Lance Corporals Aung Ko Oo, Sein Kyar Htun and Maung Htay of SPDC Battalion 20 defected to KNLA Brigade 6 Battalion 16, bringing with them 1 M-79 grenade launcher with 9 rounds, 3 MA-3 automatic rifles with 14 magazines and 578 rounds, 2 hand grenades and 1 D6M Transceiver.

On November 8, a combined force of KNLA Brigade 3 Battalion 8 and Brigade 2 HQ column launched a multiple mine attack on SPDC troops under the command of MOC 21 in Toungoo District Htandabin Township Gamulo area Balorday, killing 12 enemies and wounding another 15.

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) today released the following statement on the ongoing detention of pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi in Burma, on her 62nd birthday:

“Birthdays are supposed to be celebrations--moments of joy spent with friends and family. Today is Aung San Suu Kyi’s 62nd birthday and it will be neither of these. She will spend this day, as she has eleven of her last seventeen birthdays, under house arrest -- the continuing target of a repressive military junta that rules Burma with an iron fist and has mismanaged the country both economically and politically.”

“The junta fears Aung San Suu Kyi, because in 1990, the people of Burma overwhelmingly chose her and her National League for Democracy to lead the country. To this day, the Burmese military has ignored the election results. But, she has not let them forget. Risking her own safety, she has consistently spoken out against the government’s imprisonment of its critics and its violations of human rights.”

“The world has taken note. For her steadfast bravery she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and, characteristically, used the $1.3 million award to establish a health and education trust for the Burmese people. By contrast, the junta has ignored the health and safety of its citizens, generating over 2 million refugees, making the country a center for heroin and methamphetamine production, and driving the country to the brink of economic collapse.”

"In Burma, thousands of ordinary citizens, inspired by their religious leaders, are calling for change in their long-suffering nation. We are witnessing the power of the human spirit -- and the power of non-violent protest consistent with Buddhist tradition. Yet tragically, today, in spite of the peaceful nature of this protest, the Burmese government began another brutal crackdown -- beating demonstrators, firing tear-gas and arresting hundreds. The military junta should halt this violence immediately, heed the will of the Burmese people, release Aung San Suu Kyi from house arrest, and begin the process of national reconciliation.

"The people of Burma have endured terrible oppression under that country’s brutal military junta. The heroes standing firm in the streets of Rangoon and other cities now deserve our strongest support. The United States and the international community must not wait for hundreds or thousands of people to be killed before taking additional action to try to prevent further violence from occurring.

"While, ultimately, change must come from within Burma, the international community has an important role to play to signal strong support for the courageous Burmese people. I have supported sanctions against Burma and welcome the additional sanctions the President announced at the UN General Assembly. But far more needs to be done -- immediately. It is not enough for the US to act alone. We must take the lead in working with the other key international players, particularly ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), India, Japan, the European Union, and especially China, to join the United States in pressing for the peaceful resolution of the current crisis in Burma and making clear the junta should not use force against peaceful protesters, including Buddhist monks.

ရန္ကုန္တိုင္း အင္းစိန္ျမိဳ ့နယ္ ေဖာ့ကန္ရပ္ကြက္ သံမဏိ ( ၁ ) လမ္း မွာ သံမဏိ ( ၅ ) လမ္းအထိ ေျမေနရာအား အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားမွ ဦးပိုင္ ကုပၸဏီ လိမိတက္သို ့ေရာင္းခ်ခဲ့ပါသည္ ။ ထိုသို ့ေရာင္းခ်ခဲ့ ျပီးေနာက္ ( ၂၆ . ၁၀ . ၂၀၀၈ ) ရက္ေန ့ တြင္ ၎ ရပ္ကြက္တြင္းေနထိုင္ၾကေသာ အိမ္ေျခ သံုးရာနီးပါအား ေလွာ္ကား ျမိဳ ့နယ္ ( ဒ ) ဒေဒြး ရပ္ကြက္ ရွိ နာဂစ္ေလေဘးဒုကၡ သည္မ်ားအားလွဴဒါန္းရန္အတြက္ ေဆာက္လုပ္ ထား ေသာ ေလေဘးအိမ္မ်ားသို ့ အတင္းအဓၶမေျပာင္းေရႊ ့ခိုင္းခဲ့ပါသည္ ။

ထိုသို ့ ေျပာင္းေရႊ ့ရာတြင္ ေဖာ ့ ကန္ရပ္ကြက္ ဥကၠဌ မွ အိမ္ဌားေနထိုင္သူမ်ားအား ေငြက်ပ္ သံုးေသာင္း ( ၃၀၀၀၀ ) မွ တစ္သိန္း (၁၀၀၀၀၀ ) ထိေေတာင္းခံ ျပီးေလွာ္ကားျမိဳ ့နယ္ရွိ ေလေဘး အတြက္ေဆာက္လုပ္ထားေသာေနအိမ္မ်ားသို ့ ေျပာင္းေရႊ ့ေနထိုင္ေစခဲ့ပါသည္ ။ ထိုသို ့ ေျပာင္းေရႊ ့ေနထိုင္ ၾကေသာ ေနအိမ္ မ်ားမွာ ယေန ့ အထိ ( ၂၂၁ ) အိမ္ရွိျပီ ျဖစ္ေသာ္လည္း ဆင္းရဲႏြမ္းပါး၍ ေငြေပး ႏိုင္ျခင္းမရွိသည္ ့ မိသားစု အိမ္ေျခေပါင္း မွာ ( ၅၀ ) ေက်ာ္က်န္ရွိေနပါေသး သည္ ။ ထိုမိသားစု၀င္မ်ားမွာ ဆင္းရဲ နြမ္းပါး လြန္းသည့္ အတြက္ ေငြ ေပးေျခ ႏိုင္ျခင္းမရွိသလို အျခားတေနရာသို ့ ေျပာင္းေရႊ ့ေနထိုင္ ႏိုင္ ျခင္း လည္း မရွိပါ ။ ထိုအိမ္ေထာင္စုမ်ားအား ( ၁ . ၁၁ . ၂၀၀၈ ) ရက္ေန ့ မွ စတင္၍ ဧည္ ့စာရင္းမေပးေတာ ့ ပဲ ညအခ်ိန္မ်ားတြင္ ဧည္ ့စာရင္း အေၾကာင္း ျပကာ အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားမွ ၀င္ေရာက္ဖမ္္းဆီးျခင္းမ်ားျပဳေနပါ သည္ ။

အခ်ိဳ ့မိသားစုမ်ားမွာ နီးစပ္ရာေဆြမ်ိဳးမိတ္ေဆြ မ်ားေနအိမ္ တြင္ ည အခ်ိန္ေရွာင္တိမ္း ၍ အိပ္စက္ၾကရ ျပီးေနအခ်ိန္တြင္ မိမိတို ့ ေနအိမ္မ်ားသို ့ ျပန္လည္ ေနထိုင္ ၾကရပါသည္ ။ ထို ့ အခါ အာဏာ ပိုင္မ်ားမွာ ညအခ်ိန္လူမရွိေသာ ေနအိမ္မ်ား အား ပိုင္ရွင္မဲ ့သတ္မွတ္ကာ ( ၃ . ၁၁ . ၂၀၀၈ ) ရက္ေန ့ မွ ( ၄ .၁၁ .၂၀၀၈ ) အထိ ေဖာ ့ကန္ရပ္ကြက္ ဥကၠဌ ႏွင္ ့ ရာအိမ္မွူး အပါအ၀င္ အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားမွ ေနအိမ္မ်ားအား ျဖိဳဖ်က္ေနပါသည္ ။ အျခားသို ့ ေရွာင္တိမ္း ညအိပ္စရာ မရွိ၍ မိမိတို ့ ေနအိမ္မ်ား၌ ပင္အိပ္စက္ ၾကသူမ်ားမွာလည္း ညအခ်ိန္ ဧည္ ့ စာရင္းစစ္အခ်ိန္တြင္ အဖမ္းခံ ရ ျပန္ပါသည္ ။ ထိုသို ့ အဖမ္းခံ ရသူမ်ား ကိုေတာ ့ အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားမွ ေနအိမ္မ်ား ဖ်က္ေပးလွ်င္လႊတ္ေပး မည္ ဆိုေသာေၾကာင္ ့ ေၾကာက္ လန့္ ၍ ဖ်က္ ေပးရန္ ဂတိျပဳ လက္မွတ္ထိုးခဲ့ၾကသူမ်ားလည္းအခ်ိဳ ့ ရွိေနျပီး အခ်ိဳ ့မွ ဖ်က္ေပးရန္ လက္မွတ္ မထိုး ေသာ ေၾကာင့့္ ဆက္လက္ ဖမ္းဆီးခံထားရ သူမ်ားလည္းရွိေနဆဲျဖစ္ပါသည္ ။

စစ္အစိုးရက ဖမ္းဆီးထားသည့္ ၈၈ မ်ိဳးဆက္ေက်ာင္းသားမ်ားကို အင္းစိန္ေထာင္တြင္းရွိ ရန္ကုန္ေတာင္ပိုင္းခ႐ိုင္ တရား႐ုံး တြင္ ယေန႔ ႐ုံးထုတ္စစ္ေဆးရာသို႔ အက်ိဳးေဆာင္ေရွ႕ေနအား အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားက ၀င္ခြင့္ မေပးေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။

၈၈ မ်ိဳးဆက္ေက်ာင္းသားမ်ားျဖစ္ေသာ ကိုသိန္းသန္းထြန္းႏွင့္ ၁၃ ဦးအား ႐ုံးထုတ္စစ္ေဆးရာသို႔ သြားေရာက္သည့္ ၎တို႔၏ ေရွ႕ေန ဦးေက်ာ္ဟိုးကို အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားက တရား႐ုံးတြင္းသို႔ ၀င္ခြင့္မေပးျခင္းျဖစ္သည္ဟု အဆိုပါ ေ႐ွ႕ေနႏွင့္ နီးစပ္သူ တဦးက ေျပာသည္။

“ဦးေက်ာ္ဟုိးက သူ႔ကို ဘာလို႔၀င္ခြင့္မေပးရတာလဲလို႔ ေထာင္အာဏာပိုင္ေတြကို ေမးေတာ့ ေထာင္အာဏာပိုင္က သူတို႔ လည္း မသိဘူးတဲ့၊ အထက္အမိန္႔အရ လုပ္ရတာလို႔ေျပာတယ္”ဟု ၎က ဆုိသည္။

ႏိုင္ငံေရးလႈပ္ရွားသူမ်ား၏ အက်ိဳးေဆာင္ေရွ႕ေနမ်ားျဖစ္ေသာ ဦးေအာင္သိန္းႏွင့္ ၎တို႔ကိုလည္း လိႈင္ၿမိဳ႕နယ္ တရား႐ုံးတြင္ တရားရင္ဆိုင္ေနရသူမ်ား၏ ေရွ႕ေနပါ၀ါ႐ုပ္သိမ္းမႈႏွင့္ ပတ္သက္ၿပီး တရား႐ုံးကို မေထမဲ့ျမင္ျပဳ လုပ္မႈ ပုဒ္မ ၃ ျဖင့္ အာဏာ ပိုင္မ်ားက တရားစြဲဆိုျခင္း ခံထားရသည္ဟု ေရွ႕ေန ဦးခင္ေမာင္ရွိန္ က ေျပာျပသည္။

“က်ေနာ္တို႔ကို လႈိင္ၿမိဳ႕နယ္ တရား႐ုံးကိစၥနဲ႔ ပတ္သက္ၿပီး တရား႐ုံးခ်ဳပ္က စြဲတာ၊ မနက္ျဖန္ ေလွ်ာက္လႊဲခ်က္ သြားေပး ရမယ္”ဟု ဦးခင္ေမာင္ရွိန္က ေျပာသည္။

စစ္အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားက ဖမ္းဆီးထားသည့္ ဒီမုိကေရစီေရးလႈပ္ရွားသူမ်ား၏ အမႈမ်ားကို လိုက္ပါအက်ိဳးေဆာင္ေပး ေနေသာ ေရွ႕ေနမ်ားအား ယင္းသို႔ ဖိအားေပးအက်ပ္ကိုင္မႈမ်ားျပဳလုပ္လ်ွက္ရွိရာ လြန္ခဲ့သည့္ ေအာက္တိုဘာ လ ကုန္ပိုင္းတြင္ ေရွ႕ေန ကိုညီညီေထြးကို ဖမ္းဆီးအေရးယူ၍ ေထာင္ဒဏ္ ခ်မွတ္မႈျပဳလုပ္ခဲ့သည္။

ေရွ႕ေန ကိုညီညီေထြးကို ၎၏အမႈသည္မ်ားျဖစ္ေသာ လိႈင္သာယာၿမိဳ႕နယ္ အမ်ိဳးသားဒီမိုကေရစီအဖြဲ႕ခ်ဳပ္ (အန္အယ္လ္ဒီ) အဖြဲ႕၀င္ ကိုေ၀လြင္မ်ိဳး၊ ကိုေအာင္မင္းႏိုင္၊ ကိုရန္ႏိုင္ထြန္းတို႔ႏွင့္အတူ တရား႐ုံးအား အေႏွာင့္ အယွက္ေပးသည့္ ပုဒ္မ ၂၂၈ ျဖင့္ ေျမာက္ပိုင္းခ႐ိုင္ တရား႐ုံးက လြန္ခဲ့ေသာ ေအာက္တိုဘာ ၃၀ ရက္တြင္ ေထာင္ဒဏ္ ၆ လစီ ခ်မွတ္ခဲ့ျခင္းျဖစ္သည္။

ကိုညီညီေထြးသည္ ၂၀၀၇ ခု ဇြန္လ ၁၉ ရက္က ျမန္မာ့ဒီမိုကေရစီေခါင္းေဆာင္ ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္ လြတ္ေျမာက္ေရး လႈပ္ရွားမႈျပဳလုပ္သည့္အတြက္ အဖမ္းဆီးခံရေသာ လႈိင္သာယာၿမိဳ႕နယ္ အန္အယ္လ္ဒီ အဖြဲ႕၀င္ ၁၁ ဦး၏ အမႈကို လိုက္ပါ အက်ိဳးေဆာင္ေပးေနစဥ္ ဤကဲ့သို႔ ဖမ္းဆီး အေရးယူခံရျခင္းျဖစ္သည္။
“ဒီလို ႏိုင္ငံေရးလႈပ္ရွားသူေတြရဲ႕အမႈလိုက္ ေရွ႕ေနေတြကို ပုိၿပီး တားဆီးပိတ္ပင္မႈေတြလုပ္လာေလ မမွ်တတဲ့ တရားစီရင္ ေရးစနစ္က ပိုၿပီးထင္ရွားလာေလျဖစ္မွာပါပဲ”ဟု ႏိုင္ငံေရး အက်ဥ္းသားေဟာင္း တဦးက ေ၀ဖန္ေျပာဆိုသည္။

ကိုညီညီေထြးသည္ ၂၀၀၇ ခု ဇြန္လ ၁၉ ရက္က ျမန္မာ့ဒီမိုကေရစီေခါင္းေဆာင္ ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္ လြတ္ေျမာက္ေရး လႈပ္ရွားမႈျပဳလုပ္သည့္အတြက္ အဖမ္းဆီးခံရေသာ လႈိင္သာယာၿမိဳ႕နယ္ အန္အယ္လ္ဒီ အဖြဲ႕၀င္ ၁၁ ဦး၏ အမႈကို လိုက္ပါ အက်ိဳးေဆာင္ေပးေနစဥ္ ဤကဲ့သို႔ ဖမ္းဆီး အေရးယူခံရျခင္းျဖစ္သည္။

31 October 2008 - An official from Mohre Youth Clinic has reported that there have been many visitors from Chin state's Matupi and Thantlang villages, who had come for a check up in Mohre Youth Clinic, in the Indo-Myanmar boarder area earlier this month.

Most of the patients were suffering from malaria PF, gastric, pneumonia and other diseases. A report, released by the clinic said, "There were more than 50 people who had come for a checkup in this clinic from Matupi and Thantlang areas. Women were suffering from a swollen uterus and children were diagnosed with pneumonia and gastric.

The clinic did not have enough beds for the patients as most of the patients had come from Chin state, as a result some of them had been sleeping on the floor and staying at the houses of relatives.

In Chin state, people are suffering not only from diseases but also from shortage of food as bamboo flowering has occurred in this year, which normally happens only once in every 50 years.

"Due to the onset of famine, Chin people cannot purchase even mosquito nets, sometimes they are going without food all day long. Most of them are suffering from malaria as they sleep without mosquito nets at night. Some are suffering from gastric since they have been eating roots and leaves," Ko Unity said.

He added, "Chin people are getting checked free of charge. However, the patients are increasing in number day by day. It's sure that there will be many more patients this month as they can get free treatment here."

၈၈ မ်ိဳးဆက္ေက်ာင္းသားေခါင္းေဆာင္ ကိုမင္းကိုႏိုင္အပါ၀င္ အဖြဲ႕၀င္ ၉ ဦးအား စစ္အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားက တရား႐ုံး ေႏွာင့္ယွက္မႈႏွင့္ ဗုဒၶဟူးေန႔က ေထာင္ဒဏ္ ၆ လစီခ်မွတ္လိုက္ၿပီးေနာက္ ယေန႔နံနက္တြင္ ၎တို႔အားလုံးကို မအူပင္ ေထာင္သို႔ ေျပာင္းေ႐ႊ႕လိုက္ေၾကာင္း ေထာင္၀န္ထမ္း အသိုင္းအ၀န္းက ေျပာသည္။

ထုိင္းႏိုင္ငံအေျခစိုက္ ႏိုင္ငံေရးအက်ဥ္းသားမ်ား ကူညီေစာင့္ေရွာက္ေရးအသင္း(AAPP) တြဲဖက္ အတြင္းေရးမႉး ဦးဘိုၾကည္က ယခုကဲ့သို႔ ကိုမင္းကိုႏိုင္တို႔ကို ေထာင္ေျပာင္းလိုက္ျခင္းသည္ မိသားစု၀င္မ်ား အခက္အခဲ ျဖစ္ေစ ရန္ ရည္႐ြယ္ခ်က္ျဖင့္ ျပဳလုပ္ျခင္း ျဖစ္သည္ဟု ေျပာသည္။

“ေထာင္ေျပာင္းတယ္ဆိုရင္ မိသားစုက အဲဒီကို ပုံမွန္သြားႏိုင္မွာ မဟုတ္ေတာ့ဘူး၊ က်န္းမာေရးအရေရာ အစားအေသာက္ပါ ခက္ခဲသြားတာေတြရွိမယ္၊ ဒါ ရည္႐ြယ္ခ်က္ရွိရွိနဲ႔ မိသားစုေတြ ဒုကၡေရာက္ေအာင္၊ သူတုိ႔ရဲ႕ ေရွ႕ေနေတြ ဒုကၡေရာက္ေအာင္ လုပ္လိုက္တာပဲ” ဟု ဦးဘိုၾကည္က ေျပာဆုိသည္။

႐ုံးထုတ္ခ်ိန္တြင္ လက္ထိပ္မခတ္ရန္၊ တရားခြင္သို႔ မိသားစု၀င္မ်ားႏွင့္ အမ်ားျပည္သူကို ၾကားနာခြင့္ျပဳရန္စသည့္ လြတ္လပ္ ေသာ တရားစီရင္ေရးအတြက္ ေတာင္းဆိုမႈမ်ားႏွင့္ ပတ္သက္ၿပီး တရားစီရင္မႈကို အေႏွာင့္အယွက္ေပး သည္ဟူေသာ အေၾကာင္းျပခ်က္ျဖင့္ ၈၈ မ်ိဳးဆက္ေက်ာင္းသားမ်ားကို ေထာင္ဒဏ္မ်ား ခ်မွတ္လိုက္ျခင္းျဖစ္ သည္ဟုလည္း ဦးဘိုၾကည္က ေျပာသည္။

ရန္ကုန္ အင္းစိန္ေထာင္တြင္းရွိ ေျမာက္ပိုင္းခ႐ိုင္ တရား႐ုံးက တရားစီရင္မႈကို အေႏွာင့္အယွက္ေပးသည့္ ဥပေဒ ပုဒ္မ ၂၂၈ ျဖင့္ ကိုမင္းကိုႏိုင္၊ ကိုကိုႀကီး ၊ ကိုေဌးႂကြယ္၊ ကိုၿပံဳးခ်ိဳ ၊ ကိုျမေအး၊ ကိုလွမ်ိဳးေနာင္ ၊ ကိုေအာင္သူ ၊ ကိုဥာဏ္လင္းႏွင့္ ကိုမ်ိဳးေအာင္ႏိုင္တို႔ကို ၿပီးခဲ့ေသာ ဗုဒၶဟူးေန႔တြင္ အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားက ေထာင္ဒဏ္ ၆ လစီ ခ်မွတ္ လိုက္ျခင္း ျဖစ္သည္။
